Born in southern California and graduate of USC (1984), Randall wrote senior business plans on opening a glass shop. Before building his own studio in 1985, Randall worked at several promenate glass shops in southern California. He began blowing glass and doing lampwork in 1982, and when he had his own studio, began making encased lampworked paperweights. Over the years, Randall expanded his vision and insight and by pushing the limits of hot glass and is now doing fused and slumped glasswork , he now creates awe-inspiring large-scale cylinders. Randall’s work has been collected for over 18 years.
